Time Passing
The sun spills into my life,
Signaling the end is near.
am I relieved to finish this strife,
Or will I miss the ones I hold so dear?
the leaves were once crisp, I thought,
I have time—so much.
but it went in a wisp,
Memories now I can barely touch.
the snow fell around me,
I begged for it to melt,
wishing to be set free,
Unaware of how I truly felt
now, the breeze brushes through my hair,
Reminding me of what’s inevitable.
I’m not ready to leave, this isn’t fair—
But at least the year was unforgettable.
Reluctant of parting ways with the present,
The past pushing through within.
The sun continues to teach the lesson:
Time cannot be controlled, the world will spin.
