Crying Out Loud

Crying out loud,
Typing words that don’t mean s***,
Trying to feel, just a little bit,
Falling to the floor,
Tears pouring down my face,
Oh my god, do I hate this place.

Whispers in the dark,
‘I love you, don’t you know?’
Well, if you love me, why do you have to go?
Crackling on the phone,
Words of pain and need,
Can’t you see now why I bleed?

Glaring lights and whining voices,
All blend together now,
I know what I want, but I don’t know how.
Knees growing weak,
I can’t see, breathe, think,
I’m teetering on the brink.

Reading your words again and again,
If I’d have only known…
Would I have done it on my own?
Could I have made it, succeeded?
Or would I have fallen twice as far?
Would I have a twin for my scar?

I don’t mean to be sad,
And I see that it hurts you,
But baby—you knew!
From the start we were at odds,
And I just didn’t care,
I suppose the pain is only fair.

Crying out loud,
Typing words that don’t mean s***,
Trying to feel, just a little bit,
Falling to the floor,
Tears pouring down my face,
Oh my god, do I hate this place.

This was written during an exceptionally difficult part in my life.
Please, critique the hell out of it nonetheless.

Very well written, the middle lost my interest a tiny bit. The rest was very grabbing and intense to read though. Great job.
