these chains are so heavy
so heavy I can barely breathe
I'm waiting for someone to set me free

I sit and wait, unmoving
like I'm a solid marble statue
waiting for someone like you

then all of a sudden
I'm melting, slipping down the drain
flowing through the cracks

waiting to see light again
and when I'm nothing but a puddle to slip in
I'm free

flying, soaring, glistening with beauty
vibrant colors are my new identity

I soar with the raindrops
and the snowflakes
and the sunbeams

those chains were so heavy, but now I am free
