My family consists of the good,
The bad,
And the insanely stupid.
Remarks, requests, hatred, love
Using one another
Ignoring phone calls
Laughter and mockery behind closed doors. . .

At least I have a family

No matter how crazy, detached, far away
Or across the street, I know I’ll have someone
To rely on when
I take my head out of the clouds
