Falling with Closed Eyes

Falling,
eyes closed,
I wonder
how long I can fall.
I wonder
when I’ll run
out of space
and
collapse.
How deep is the air?
How far can it stretch?
How long can it stall
my fall
as I sink
ever so slowly?
Wondering
when the air beneath me
will diminish
till there is none
at all.
Wondering how long
until my fall
and
Hoping
I won’t have to
Wait much longer.
