one leaf

one leaf standing hanging there,
waiting to fall, waiting to fly,
chilly it is while it hangs,
for the wind keeps blowing on it,
sill its stays put
just swaying in the wind
never falling
winter is nearing
and the leaf still hangs
hopeing still that one day it falls
to lay on the ground
with the rest of the leafs
to be among its fellow friends again
winter comes and goes
the leaf still there
hanging tight
all alone
waiting, just waiting
for the day it falls
