Addiction
Addiction
You’re like an addiction
I drug I crave
You make me feel stronger
You make me feel so brave
You’re like an addiction
I know in the end you’ll be bad
but for the time being
I need you like mad
You’re like an addiction
You’ve taken over my life
Everyday I go around
Not knowing if I’ll survive
You’re like an addiction
the day just goes on and on
Your face repeats in my brain
like an overplayed song
You’re like an addiction
I’m pulling out my hair
You’ve left me on the cold, cold floor
gasping for air
You’re like an addiction
So may thoughts run through my head
my teeth grind even harder
as I curse you for leaving me half dead
You’re like an addiction
It feels like I’m drowning in dark water
plunging down, father and farther
the numbness sadly makes my need stronger
You’re like an addiction
I couldn’t bare it if you were to go
You keep luring me in
I should’ve said no
