Dolphin
There is a dolphin in me
It stays under the sea
But every so often emerges
To leap into the unknown air above
With smooth skin like a polished pebble
And flippers like a storm
Its tail pushes it through
To guide, steer, and splash
Making ripples in the water
Its leap is graceful
But it lands with splashes all around
Its snout is smiling permanently
Always swimming through the water
Needing change and
Never staying in one place too long
But always returning
To stay with the same pod
