I Hope You Know
I hope you know how sorry I am
for forgetting to call you back.
I hope you know how proud I am
of how brave you've become.
I hope you know how much I laugh
at all those corny jokes,
Or how often it is I look at
those old ancient photos.
I hope you know I plan to keep every promise
I've ever made with you;
I hope you know how grateful I am
that you've been here all along.
I
hope you know how much I miss you
and those big eyes of yours;
I hope you know how much I love you,
even when I forget to reply.
And in case you've forgotten all these things,
I hope this poem helps you remember.
