Just a Little Bit of Shut-Eye
The irises of your eyes
are on vacation
And the crescents that make your lashes
take their place
The way you breathe is like wind,
on a humid day in Summer
soft, gentle, and calming
Your fingers twitch, and I kiss them
Blessing you relaxation
The fluffy air is pink, and light
The light headed-ness of being intoxicated
set aside the nausea
Your heart beats firmly, and I smile
I pull in close, until the skin of my legs
reaches you
I silently thank the crescents for working overtime
As we sleep the day away.
