invisible flaws
what do you see when you look at me?
do you see my mask of carefree?
do you see my hair, tattered and falling out?
do you see these tears that streak down every time im touched?
do you see these flaws, that stare me in the face?
no, of course you don't. its all in my mind.
no one knows no one sees these unhealing bruises that you left me with.
without even a note to cushion the blow
every i love you was a stab in the back.
every empty promise salt in my wounds..
please just go away.
don't prolong this torture another moment
leave me to lick these unhealing wounds in peace.
