Kisses
The first was adrenaline filled
The second was more sure.
By the third I said, "f it", my heart had spilled
And soaked your hardwood floor.
Over the weeks and months they heightened
Became more confident.
During which my head would lighten,
Out the window's where my breath went.
But after no satisfaction, they diminished,
Left me all confused.
I thought with me you were finished,
Was in despair as to what to do.
I know we reconciled,
when I told you my worries.
And I see renewed smiles
I feel old heart flurries.
But baby, I can't get my mind off this
The thing I miss most, you gave me,
(So save me,)
Is a long forgotten kiss.
