Forever ago I favored you as my mother;
I was naiive then.
Forever ago I spoke of happier days;
Monotony fills my life.
I wonder if you care about what you did to me.
I can't know everything,
So the courts say.
Forever ago I couldn't wait to see you those four hours
Every other Saturday;
Forever ago I respected you.
Now I have this pain that won't heal.
I know more than you think, Mom
But I can't let it go.
Forever ago I loved you--
And I still do.
Forever ago I thouht you loved me too...

I like this poem, and i can really connect with it. I've written a couple poems about my mom that weren't so sweet. I think you did a great job =]
