Stop It
I wish that
They would stop
fighting.
Can't they see
That they are
Slowly and painfully
Killing me?
They are wounding
Me with their
Yelling voices.
These wounds are
Evident when you
Look at my
Wrists.
There they go
Again - hate-filled
Screaming at each
other.
And still they
Remain entirely clueless
As to what
They are doing
To me.
Eventually, one of
Them will end
Up leaving.
Then all of
Us kids will
Be at a
Loss.
We would have
Our parents, yes,
But they would
Be as distant
To each other
As the Sun
Is to our
Earth.
So please, Mom
And Dad, read
This and finally
See that what
You are doing
To each other
Is reflected on
Your kids.
