Hero, A Poem
Back to back they stand
One brought darkness from his land
The other must remove it by hand

One sees dark, the other light
But both have a great might
 Armed and willing to fight

They are separated by a door
That can be found by finding the four
Keys told about in ancient lore

The first key hidden in a lake
The hero placed his life at stake
A dangerous journey did he undertake

The second key found in a temple
Monster-ridden, yet his strength was ample
But that danger faced was only a sample

The third key locked up underground
After not too long was it found
The hero made it safe and sound

The last key frozen way up high
Once he got up, he let out a grateful sigh
There it was, and he managed not to die

But one thing he had to do before
 Opening that accursed door
Rid his land of the darkness it bore

He fought until it went away
From his path he never did stray
"It's for us all," he would say

The hero then ventured to the door
He would unlock with the four
And destroy darkness at its very core

 Back to back they stand
One gave up all for his land
Rid all darkness with tired hand

 Hero turned around
 Shocked by what he found
Then they fought on darkened ground

For awhile did the darkness last
Both were quick, agile, and fast
Then the final strike was passed

The hero looked at his enemy slain
The one who was his ultimate bane
So much knowledge the hero was happy to gain

 Finally the hero understood
Why he had done all he could
It was because no one else would
