Life's Cycle
Time passes as I look out my window.
The condensation begins to form with every breath I breathe.
The blue bird happily sings his song.
Grey clouds appear from the east.
Children splashing in the puddles nearby,
I can hear their mothers calling them in now.
Looks like a storm is headed this way,
The happy blue bird has now flown away.
Thunder rumbling in the distance
Sounds like it’s getting closer
Lightning flashes; lights up my whole face
Can’t see two feet in front of me
From sunny and bright
To dark and damp
The day has turned so fast
But just like everything else, this too will soon pass.
Two more loud bangs
And a few more flashes of light
Now look there’s a rainbow
So beautiful, so full of life
What was once grey is now no longer
The laughter of the children is back
Jumping in puddles once again; louder and stronger
The happy blue bird has returned.
The bees are buzzing
The smell of flowers has drawn them in.
The sun is going down now
The day has come to an end.
The moon appears, so big, full, and white.
Stars are forming shapes in the distance.
I’ll go to sleep now.
When I awake, who knows what tomorrow will bring,
But I’ll get through it.
