The Expiration Date
The more you act like an adult
The more you seem like a child
Sneers of witches you ignore
Yet I know inside you’re riled
Allow time pass in its own way
And as for youthfulness—don’t crush it
You’ll find it travels plenty quick
Without having to rush it
Of thoughtless games and glares
I ask, when will you tire?
Alone in deathly solace you wonder
Secretly, when does innocence expire?
