Finally Home
Silently I sit now, bored and weary as the mind goes still
Breathing in and out,
Mind churning and swirling,
Thoughts are array as the heart is ever fray,
I recall the moment when I was happy so,
Blossoming and blooming in excitement and rushed adrenaline,
‘T was not a few days back since it happened, thy Grandmother had finally arrived
How thy eyes grew moist and watery, heart swelled and exploded,
Only I know how the love and affection raged about yet not sated,
I swept her in a fierce hug never wanting to let go,
Joy and laughter hung about, smiles and tears all astray
Seeing her finally after what it seemed like a lifetime,
I laughed and smiled, wept and cried,
Hugged her and clung to her like a child to a mother
She took my face into her hand and looked me in the very eyes face lit with pure bliss
With elation she said to me,
“I’m finally home.”
