"Anyone Else"
How can I look into his eyes
And think of anyone else?
My selfishness has raged out of control
His smile makes me laugh
And his arms make me feel safe.
It’s not the same passion
Of my has-been love
But I shall gladly take it
It is worth far more
Than what I previously treasured.
If only my eyes
Could remain this open
The next time I see him
I would not be tempted
By lies and contrived love.
But instead remain happy
Where I am
With whom I’m with
Who actually cares about me
And who has a heart.
I am truly grateful
At this moment
For what I have
And cannot wait to see his sweet face again
Because how can I look into his eyes
And think of anyone else?

Apparently they take less time to approve pictures than poems and stuff, because you had already submitted that "Music is my life" thing...
yeah, they take FOREVER.
I apparently forgot this feeling yesterday *sigh*.
I wrote a new song but just submitted it a few minutes ago, so teenink won;t approve it for awhile probably.

And I'm glad it's relatable.
