Knives Out

The knives were just
Coming out of my heart slowly
The pain was fading
It burned as it came out

Then I saw you and I felt
Alive again
You seemed to make my heart whole

You showed me
There is no end to happiness
That there is
Still a reason to live

Life is a thing
That only happens
Once just like your
13th birthday

You will never be have
Another 13th birthday
Once it’s gone it’s gone

So enjoy it
Take risks
If you fail get back up
Learn from it

Try something else
Don’t be sad all the time
You know what?
I’ll take a risk right now
