How Ironic

I used to like something
But then it was thought of as babyish
So I kept it inside.
Now all these years later,
That thing is actually a common tie between many.
How ironic.
Now we talk and talk
All about that which was forgotten years ago.
It is common ground again.
I can express what is on my mind
Without feeling out of place.
Was it ever truly forgotten?
How ironic.
