whom life engraved MAG
The lines in her face are perfect
They trace deeper and thinner
From her vision to mine
As if their shadows drag across my skin
Sinking in
And I can see wisps of wheat for miles
Spreading themselves out under smooth sky
In the crinkled pattern
Fanning out from her eyes
Those lines crawl to my ears
And whisper of the spark
That lit her body and the fields.
The sky
On fire.
