My Dancer's Shoes
My dancer puts me on
 I slip across the floor
 I spin around in circles
 I am tied
 I am untied
 I am repeatedly put on
 I am repeatedly took off
 The feet of my dancer

My dancer puts me in the rosin
 I am now sticky
 I am now green
 I am brown
 I crackle
 I bend
 I snap
 I twist
 I shout
 The shoes of my dancer

 My dancer rises
 I flex
 I point
 I stand strong
 I hold my stance
 I will not fade
 The strength of my dancer

 My dancer is done
 I stay
I leave I am untied for the last time
 I am broken
 I am dead
 I am thrown away
 The weakness of my dancer
