No One to Care
When you are in your darkest hour,
You believe you can't sink any deeper,
Into the pit of "comforting water"
You gasp for air even though you can’t
When you KNOW you can't hold your breath for another second,
Your are caught in the undertow,
Just to be dragged back into the depths of the black ocean of numbness,
You no longer feel pain or fear
Just nothing
And you beg for emotion, beg for feeling, you beg to cry, you beg to laugh, you beg for escape, you beg to CARE, you beg for someone to CARE
But no one bothers to mop the rivers of tears and pain you have created,
You want to give up,
You would give almost anything to give up and just let yourself suffocate in the ashes that is now your soul,
But you know you CAN NOT cave,
It would cause a stir and Miss Perfect couldn’t do that could she?
So you fight the gasps, the tears, and the fears
You pull yourself together,
Because you have no choice.
You hide what you feel and deal,
Somehow,
You turn out happier than you have ever been.
All because no one cared.
