Now you are gone Grandpa
All you suffering as ended
and the only ones in pain are the ones who are left behind
Anyone who knew you
has their special memory of you
tucked away in their heart
and those memories will stay there forever.
And you are my Grandpa
not were
but are
because even though you aren't here
on Earth anymore
but someplace better
I still know that you are with me
every minute
making sure no harm comes my way.
