She comes alive
for sHrill beeps
incEssant ringtones
but it is a humdrum Life
not for the weak.
Her fingers,
Perfect dancers
tapping onto keys
harder,
with each step.
Her Eyes,
Guidance
to the Light of her cell Phone
her absolution.
Staring at a beacon
that was never there.
Her Mouth
What mouth?
She’s forgottEn how to speak
for she is trapped in a cell phone
wasting away…
