Thief!
You’ve stolen my mind
 All I see is
 Pictures, sensations, remarks,
 Ideas, dreams, symbols
 Of you

 You’ve stolen my emotions
They used to be my own
 Whatever I felt
 They represented
 Now you control them
 Like a dictator

 You’ve stolen my words
 You’ve crept into them
 And poisoned my vocabulary
 Your name is spoken
 Once too many

 You’ve stolen my time
 It escapes my firm grasp
It trickles down my loving arms
It throws itself away into the past
Before I can make a sound

 You’ve stolen my heart
 It tenses whenever you pass
It pounds whenever you touch me
 It flutters
Trying to break free of its feeble cage
My memories have stored it in

 You call this thievery
A name that shall not be announced
You’re a deceiving master in the art
 Of robbery

You filch me in every way
 Every way except, of course,
 My soul
It is the part of me
 That is officially Untouchable
I dare you to touch it
I look forward to your reaction
