Dancing in the Rain
Thick water droplets fall from the sky, heavy with life’s burdens
They soak my unsuspecting face
And momentarily, I stand dumbfounded at this sensation
It is a feeling long forgotten, but well needed
The rain washes away my worries, doubts and confusions
I spin gracefully through the down pour
Dancing alone without any music
Totally confident in myself
Totally oblivious to the rest of the world
Soaring so high with happiness
I almost floated off the Earth
But soon I am grounded
As the clouds clear, the rain stops
And there I stand, soaking wet
My problems creeping back up on me once again
