A Lost Love
Walking down the street,
Tears streaming down her face,
Wind stinging her eyes,
She can't hide the feeling, thats tearing her up inside
She wants to be far from home
She wants to be left alone
But she doesn't want to feel the emotions that won't subside
The pain is eating her alive
The pain is eating her alive
Bowing her head as she walked down the street
Saying not a word just looking at her feet
The worry she could feel start to expand
Why couldn't he be there to hold her hand
Headlights spill onto the street
A boy drunk and stumbling
His words were slurred as he yelled at her
They didn't see the car coming down the street;
Shards of glass, broken bones, spilled blood
Both far from home
She flashes back to reality and starts to run down the street
She wants to be anywhere but here
She wants to be with him
She doesn't want to feel the pain that he left her to endure
The guilt is tearing her up inside
The pain is eating her alive
She feels its her fault that he's dead
She touched the bruises he left on her arms
Why couldn't she have died instead of him
She loved him despite his drunken ways
She wanted nothing more than to die
She wanted the feelings to go away
She hated her life, she didn't want to stay
The pain is eating her alive
The pain is eating her alive
She came to the bridge and waited
This was were he always was
She looked into the water far below
Dark and uninviting,
You jump you don't go back
She looked around and got on the railing
The wind in her hair and a sick smile on her face
A single tear ran down her cheek
As she jumped she whispered
"I'm on my way"
She wanted nothing more than to die
The feelings went with her as she drown in the river
She wanted to be with him forever and ever
The pain killed her
The pain killed her
