Issues of mankind
Look at the flowers wilting
The sun going away
The day has just begun
And yet it ended suddenly
As if to skip today
Could be that the world as finaly tired
Leaving us all alone
Alone in our hatred
Alone in our madness
Alone in our utter depression
That seems to plague us all
The beating that girl took
To the words that stayed
Floating above yet to be grasped
So mundane
Watching them, so close together
Their love so unbearble
Because they turned to one another
And found what many could not
Love in the same gender
Love that many wish to rot
Whispered lies to the boy sitting below
Crying out for help
When he felt so alone
In lunacy he lingered
And with tears he tried
He put the gun away
From it all he cried
The violence at home
It was tearing her apart
Her mother was a wreck
Her father was a drunk
Abusing her and left cold
So hungry she was
But nothing could be done
Through all these troubles
We sit here and linger
Listening to them all
From the press of our finger
It plays around us
In more than one way
But the only one we care about
Is what's on TV today
