Cocooon
I often wonder if this is time wasted
The world is buzzing all around me
But I stay in this cocoon

 I want to break free
I want to do something useful
 I want to be somebody

One day I will be known
People around the world will speak my name
 They will praise me

If only I had the courage
 If only I was confident
 If only I could morph

If I became a butterfly, I could fly away
I would be beautiful, admired, and loved
Everyone would watch me in awe

But I don’t have the courage
 I don’t have the confidence
I cannot morph into the beautiful butterfly that lies deep within

I am stuck an ugly caterpillar.
