Bitter
My recess was in stockholm, sweden
I met Faulkner and made love to the dewey dell
The frost bitten grains of grass bit beneath me
I fell apart when i hit the gravel road
I met a stranger who told me a story
I cried until he came back and saw
My ashamed-ness was overwhelm-ness
My pain was his immortal laughter and sorrow
My immortal sorrow is his legacy he left
The stones on the road too heavy to hold
The sticks i don't have room to carry
The roses, with thorns that made me bleed
I fell from a tree, and made Newton think of me
My world has never been right side up
God tells us when to fall.
He was sitting upside down
