My Addiction
My addiction used to be prescription drugs
But now I see the hole I've dug
It was fun, it made me feel good
At least when I knew that boy from the hood
He was great, wanted to have a good time
And I guess he always knew I wanted him to be mine
We had our laughs, I can't deny
But a lot of people didn't know he really made me cry
It happened once, and it happened again
Then i told him I didn't even want to be friends
He left me alone only for a couple of days
And promised and promised his hand he wouldn't raise
Again he starting calling, I was ignoring his texts
I never would've guessed what would happen next
He showed up at my door
And he pushed me to the floor
But I guess that's what you get
When you think that he's the best
My addiction isn't drugs no more
It's a broken heart like all the rest
