If the world needs a color
If the world needs a color, paint it black.
Drop pure tears or fears to create that of white.
Catch the cat eyes that peer, and call the envy green.
See the emptiness in the mirror that is but a vain purple.
Pick every berry, and every plum, the sweet gluttony of pink.
Feel the blinding want as stab of silver in the golden unhappiness.
Stay lazy on the high night breeze, careless, floating on blue like bubbles.
The body bleeds hate like the heart blood when cut, and it is red that burns as fire.
Tell me I am blind, tell a dog he cannot see. I say that the world needs a color. Pick one.
