The sun outside
is nothing
compared to
the light in your eyes
when
you smile,
laugh
at some random joke

just told you.
But
then again
the cold,
hard,
artificial classroom lights
high above our heads
are nothing
compared to
the smile
you give me
that doesn't reach
your eyes
where
that same
cold,
hard,
artificial light
shines.
