Runaway
Remember all those
 children's books
 where
 running away was
 simple,
 easy?
Tie some clothes and a snack
 to
 then end
 of a stick
 ...and just run--
 walk--
 away...
 May I join you?
 No,
 I don't have much.
 Just paper and
 a pen.
But really, that's all I need.
 Paper
as the cloth that's holding my
 "running-away things"
and the pen as the stick,
 balancing the weight.
 May I join you?
 Please?
I may not go far, or even
 move at all,
 but I am still
 a runaway.
