[Your lungs are buried in my tire dust.]
For so long, my sight grazed the horizon,
Where your ambition stood tall, looming,
In the distant road ahead.
For long amounts of time,
My gaze remained fixed on you,
You helped me follow
And determine my path.
When for too long,
My loving eyes lay upon you,
You became God-Like,
And grew as I approached.
But as I realized
My path wound around you,
I passed by your magnificence,
And never really looked back,
Except for a glance or two.
(Hopefully, my last, for Chris.)
