sometimes, late at night
i remember what it's like
with you by my side
holding me tight
til the morning light.
loving me with all your might.
sometimes when i drive by
i remember what it's like
to curl up in your arms
that protect me from the world's harms
beneath the starry sky
under which you promised me your love.
sometimes when i cry
i remember what it's like
to have you wipe away my tears
as you fight off all my fears
with the taste of your lips
and feel of your touch
as your whispers proclaim your love.
sometimes late at night,
i remember what it's like
to be loved.
