Favorite Quote:
*The darkness holds infinite possibilities.

(mine)

the vibrancy of green grass fades
into a gentle dust
yellow weeds, dead white flowers
on which you make wishes
stoop low and hide
for even the wind is fearful
trees quiver, rocks become buried
water flies away to clouds,
or becomes part of clay far, far down
"It is coming today," the last song
of our birds sing with dread and mourning
the sun will flee
not wanting to shed light on the ugly
today, all that is not gone already
shall be lost forver
that is why
the brave die young

Well articles on teenink have to be a certain length, and sometimes haikus aren't long enough by themselves, so people add the lines as space fillers.  But I can't remember why i did them in this poem haha

"Someday, someone will walk into your life and make you realize why it never worked out with anyone else."
"we often put up walls not to keep people out, but to see who cares to get through"
“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.”

that is really good but I was wondering why you put those lines at the end of your poem. I've seen a lot of writers do that but I dont understand why.
