When I am gone
For what I am now
Not for what I was.
Remember me? Back in time
Alone and hurt
Confused, and lost-
Ashamed
And unable to live
Do you know me? Now
Happier
Euphoric
Accepting
Of who I am
Living
And looking forward to each new day.
Remember me
As no one else.
As time passes by,
And life goes on,
Remember me.

Beautiful poem...but really, you're just stating things there. I know what should be felt by it, but I don't feel it enough. I can't completely imagine what is going through this persons mind.
