The Jester, God, & Me
They had an odd bond
 The Jester and the girl
 Strange and particular
 Was their connection

They hardly ever said a word
And yet they laughed at some secret joke
The girl merely thought it was his way
But Who knows the Jester’s thoughts?

She tried to accept his frivolous ways
But she longed for more than a laugh
As far as she knew the Jester simply jested
The Jester liked her well enough… she supposed

The girl would have happily given up
If the One in charge had allowed it
 She wondered and wondered
What could be His Master plan?

 The story will perhaps unfold
Someday in eternity or maybe someday quick
Then the girl will have new understanding
Of the interconnection of people, places, & God
