"You understand...It is too far. I cannot take this body along with me. It is too heavy. Left behind, it will only be an old cast-off shell. There is nothing sad about an old shell"

Dear Montana
If it were up to me
I would never leave
I could stay in this old house
I could be as quiet as you wish
As quiet as a mouse
Dear Montana
I could stay in this house
Like a virus to it's host
And wonder through it
As if I were a ghost
Dear Montana
And to whom it may concern
I leave with memories
And sights
That will remain with me
As I leave
Into the distant night
Dear Montana
This is my goodbye
As I leave I still ask myself why
Why we must leave this place
Instead of just remain
Sure the house is a little boring and plain
But with my father's help
And a little paint
We could make you wondrous and tame
Dear Montana
I say to you farewell
Because for one reason in this house we cannot dwell
And to you I say
One thing
That may just bring
A tear to my eye
Dear Montana
To you I say
Goodbye
