Gone.
The water is in my lungs,
Flooding through the windows we could never roll down.
And somewhere far away I hear you,
Screaming your sorrow.
Apologies can’t help me now,
For I will see no tomorrow.
Lover, you have carried the sword.
My blood stains the innocent snow beneath your feet,
And all I will remember of you,
Is your deceitful lips screaming my disease.
My body is getting cold now.
The heart inside of me that was claimed by you,
It can no longer beat.
You’re screaming how you’re sorry, how you love me,
How you will always love me.
My life is flashing way too fast.
Things that never even happened are blurring my vision;
Children under the Christmas tree,
Me accepting your apology.
This car has hit the bottom,
And so has my heart.
I forgive you.
I will wait for you.
I am gone.
