Tear It Up For Him
Forever walking through Disaster.
The cracks bleeding from your faults,
Stare into your eyes, reflecting like death.
Who would have known this would be our end?
There's a beginning rising at the bend.
Every inch of this deserted heart,
Can be found broken up inside the secrets,
When you would watch them kiss,
Drowning in the cold and twitching with listlessness.
“Lover,” you said, “Lover, I have a plan.
Together we can tap their passion,
And collect the crimson affection to steal it away.
Forever we'll bathe in it and they will dry and decay.”
Who would have known?
Not you.
The life you led was all in your head,
And now you're staring at the beginning at the bend.
The flowers grew like rainbows.
Your face descended once more into their shadows,
Tender kisses to the freezing glass,
Laughing as the blood seeps into the grass.
“Lover, lover,” you said, “you deceived me.”
Your lungs fill with the charred pantomime.
“Stoic though I was, it was all for you,
And now there's nothing either of us can do.”
Who would have known?
Not you.
