Little Fallen Star
Bottle poppings on the floor
Coughing on glitter
My character
Is so unreal
The piano is playing
Oh my sad tune
Puts me in my mood
My story becomes
A book, a fairytale
A piece of glitter from a star
My little fallen star
Cry on my shoulder
And I’ll wipe away your tears
My little fallen star I’ll nurse
Your health back,
Forget this weather, look up to the sky
Fake the reflection in the mirror.
Sip some champagne,
My little fallen star.
Tie this pretty ribbon around your neck,
Little fallen star, never going to let you fade away.
Close your eyes, my star
Pretend you don’t see
The pop-flash of the camera, little fallen star
Little fallen star, please don’t lose your shine
The tinsel can only
Shine in the light, little star
Little fallen star, listen to the music
And just pretend…
You haven’t fallen just yet.
