the Snow
that which we fear, hold dear, hold near, loom in the sky above, just like Snow
it swings, slowly and silently, the taboo, your secrets which you believe to be sin, down to the cool soil, the soft dirt, as does Snow
regrets. remorse. reflection, repose. It quilts your mind softly to give comfort, like December, like Snow
The city, the country, cold and harsh alike, offer no protection from the cold hands of despair. you are a child of a bitter new world, you can count only on one thing, Love - perhaps, it recalls the Snow.
one Day things will thaw,
transform to filthy grey slush, then to water
and will turn to trickling creeks
the streamers for a celebration
of Spring
a season
without Snow
