Little Sanctuary

Hiding like a child
Behind a wall of blankets
My own little sanctuary
Dark and empty
Hiding in my little tent
Escaping from my sad life
Giving myself time to think
And alienating those around me
Such a fragile little sanctuary
Broken with a wave of my hand
But so reassuring
As to my privacy
I feel like I am elsewhere
Like I have nothing to worry about
But I will have to leave
And return to reality

I wrote this when I was upset. I didn't have a lock on my door so I built a little tent around my bunk
