Insomnia
The skies are dark
 Shadows nonexistent
All are in a different world of oblivion
 Except for her

 There’s something about the night
 It makes her restless
 Tossing and turning
She can’t go back to bed

 It’s hard to stay awake
 Yet harder to sleep
 The shadows under her eyes
 Betray her troubles

 Her days seem longer
 It’s difficult to concentrate
 She struggles through the day
Only to struggle even more at night
