Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.
Bad decisions make good stories.

Walking down a tunnel
of life-defying darkness
full of rocks and boulders,
she follows some old
wrecked train tracks
glimmered with rust to
a shiny shimmer of fight
far out in her perspective.
Realizing she is almost out,
her eyes squint with anticipation
of the morning sunlight.
When she embraces the world,
she'll leap for joy and excitement
in a dance of yesterday's new
but it will be short lived for
she will become home-sick and
mournful of the hated darkness.
So she will venture back to
the betrayed mines to once
more feel the dirt and grime
under her over-worked hands,
enjoying every bit of it.
