Closed Doors
You keep your secrets
Behind locked doors
In the back of your mind
Where only you can ever see
You plot and you plan
You scheme and think
Of ways to hide your truths
To hide away what you deal with
You keep your secrets from me
The one who cares the most
I'm craving to know what you're hiding
And why you're hiding it from me
But you keep that door sealed tight
Shove it out of my grasp
So I can't even try to pry
I sneak and I peak
But you're much quicker than I
You push me away and say "Nice try"
So I back away and give you some space
And let you go along with your secrets
Until one day comes along
And I surprise you with a request
And you surprise me even more
By granting the request
You tell me your secrets
Greater than I would have ever guessed
You spill the beans
And break that door right down
Now, since you have confided in me
I must confide in you
Oh, my dear friend
I love you
